Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Planning:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of import and export trading to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop strategic financial plans tailored to the specific needs and objectives of clients in the import-export industry.
Trade Finance Advisory:
- Provide expert guidance on trade finance instruments such as Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), Performance Bonds, Bank Guarantees, and other SWIFT messages (MT799, MT734, MT754)
- Assist clients in structuring trade finance transactions to minimize risk and optimize cash flow.
Import-Export Compliance:
- Stay abreast of import-export regulations and compliance requirements governing international trade.
- Advise clients on customs procedures, tariffs, duties, and trade agreements to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the import-export industry.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing proactive financial guidance and support to address clients’ evolving needs and challenges.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for import-export transactions and authorizing the draft instruments prepared by the Associate Financial Consultant.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Professional Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in import-export and manufacturing finance.
- Continuously enhance skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in trade finance, with a focus on import-export industry.
- Proven expertise and knowledge in trade finance instruments and regulations (UCP 600, URDG 758)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Display a flexible approach to work, is adaptable and welcoming to change
- Takes personal responsibility for tasks and actions
- Good prioritization and time management skills
- Team player with good organisational skills and a rigorous eye for detail
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree / Professional qualification (CDCS)
- Fluency in Hindi / Malayalam
